We are at Week 42 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 and the theme of “brick.” When I think of brick, I immediately think of downtown Montgomery, because it has brick buildings, brick sidewalks, and one of the best brick patterns around. I’ve photographed Mr. Bojangles before in this very spot, but I love taking pictures of him here, because the location is so cool.

This one kind of reminds me of “The Wizard of Oz” when Dorothy starts to follow the yellow brick road. It also seems rather appropriate, since Mr. Bojangles is part cairn terrier, which is what Toto was.

Montgomery has lots of opportunities to photograph bricks, not just this cool circular section, so this time we explored some more areas. The brick sidewalks help lend Montgomery a quaint, old-fashioned charm, as do the historical brick buildings, one of which can be seen in the distance.

For this next set of images, we moved closer to the old brick building.

The bench Mr. Bojangles was seated on is in front of a grassy space in between the two buildings, so there was either a distracting squirrel or someone he could see in the parking lot behind it.

Whatever it was he saw became so interesting he had to stand up to get a better look.

Montgomery is full of charming settings and is one of my favorite places for photoshoots with Mr. Bojangles.

Whether it’s another brick in the wall or a brick of gold, head over to see Kim with BARKography in Charlotte, NC, and then follow the path around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
