It’s Friday and we have a super fun theme for this week’s professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle. Our Week 6 theme is “fantasy.” It was the opportunity to get creative and have a lot of fun creating fantasy images. This week, I decided that Mr. Bojangles would take a trip to Paris. The idea was inspired by a friend commenting on a picture I posted of Mr. Bojangles on Facebook in his black and white striped sweater. She said he looked like he should be sitting at a French cafe…and so, the seeds of an idea were born.

Because I have never been to Paris, I had to purchase some stock images to use for Mr. Bojangles’ virtual trip. While I didn’t find an image of a French cafe that I had visualized, I did find plenty of options to choose from, so finally decided on one to use. Because I wanted to get the entire look and feel of a Parisian cafe, you kind of have to squint to see tiny Mr. Bojangles. I also decided to give the pictures a painterly effect in keeping with the Parisian theme, as Paris is filled with street artists, especially in Montmartre, where Mr. Bojangles visited the cafe.

While in Montmartre, Mr. Bojangles decided to go check out the street artists and stopped to have one draw a portrait of him.

No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower or, at least, to a vantage point with a spectacular view of the landmark.

Finally, we have a painted portrait of Mr. Bojangles in his French travel attire.

Now, head out on a fantastic voyage starting with Lynda from Heartstrings Photography in Hamilton, New Zealand, then travel around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
