It’s Week 16 of professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle and our theme for this week is “happiness.” This week, happiness is photographing a happy Bernese Mountain Dog. I had the pleasure of photographing Foster, who won his session from the CincyPet Magazine Cover Model Contest last year. Foster came in second in the contest and won a session with me and a gift basket of prizes.
Foster’s mom wanted to schedule his session in honor of his second birthday, which was this Wednesday. We headed to Sawyer Point Park for our session because it offered a variety of scenery.
As we walked through the park I was looking around to see good spots to stop and as we walked under the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge (AKA the Big Mac Bridge) I spied the perfect location.

What could be a better location for a Bernese Mountain Dog other than on a “mountain” or, at least, a big rock? You’d never guess that the location for this image is actually under a bridge, would you?
Check out the “behind the scenes” image below to see the location.

You can follow Foster on Instagram: @fostertheberner.
Up next in the blog circle is Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography, happy to meet and photograph pets and their people in the beautiful Endless Mountains of Northeastern PA. After you get happy with Elaine, visit the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
