It’s Week 12 of professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle and I’m feeling lucky…which is also our theme for the week. Fortunately for me, I got to photograph a dog named Lucky this past summer for my Tails of Cincinnati fundraising project. In fact, Lucky and his brother Gizmo were my very first subjects for the project. I’ve known their mom, Linda, for a number of years as Gizmo is her long-haired chihuahua that I’ve photographed before (and previously featured on my blog.) Back in the time before the pandemic we used to attend chihuahua playgroup together. Lucky isn’t a chihuahua and is bigger than Gizmo, so he goes to a different playgroup with his mom. That way both dogs can get alone time with their mom and visit their friends. We sure miss seeing Gizmo and Linda at playgroup. Hopefully, we will be able to go back to having them sometime soon.
As for Lucky, the subject of this week’s blog, he was adopted from HART, a Cincinnati area rescue group that works with both dogs and cats. In fact, Lucky just celebrated his eighth Gotcha Day earlier this month!

Even though our session at Sharon Woods was in the early part of the day at the beginning of June, I seriously think it was one of the hottest days of the year. I know it was certainly the hottest day of my Tails of Cincinnati sessions.

Up next in the blog circle is Tracy Allard of Penny Whistle Photography fetching pet and family portraits in Coppell, Carrollton and the greater Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. After you hop on over to see Tracy, hop around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
