Happy New Year! Even though this is the second week of our Project 52 blog circle for 2021, it is my first week participating since I took a couple of weeks off for the holidays. Our theme this week is “moody.” I could have taken some pictures of Mr. Bojangles for this challenge, because he is often quite moody these days when I do (he doesn’t like to come out of modeling retirement.) Instead, however, I edited a picture I took for my Tails of Cincinnati book project. I am working on editing pictures from these sessions for the book and this is one of my Fall favorite images that I thought would lend itself well to a moody edit. I like black and white images that are moody, so I edited the image so that it was in black and white and then added a texture overlay for some extra mood.
Here is my original color edit of this image. It’s kind of moody on its own, since I did some “extra” editing on it, too. Let me know what you think in the comments and if you prefer one over the other.
Up next in the blog circle is Tracy Allard of Penny Whistle Photography fetching pet and family portraits in Coppell, Carrollton and the greater Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. After you visit with Tracy, head around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
