Welcome to a new year of professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle posts. This year, we are doing a freestyle theme format instead of following lessons in a book, so we will have a wide variety of fun themes to work on throughout the year. To kick of the new year, our theme for Week One is “New.” It’s also very exciting and topical to the blog circle group as we have quite a few new members participating, as well as some returning members that haven’t participated in a while; let’s hope we can keep the momentum of numbers up throughout the year!
For the theme of “new”, I chose to use a “new” chair. While it is actually an old chair I purchased through online auction house Second Story Auctions, it is new to me and being used in photographs for the first time. It also has a new coat of paint on it, as it was originally a natural wood color, but I wanted something white. Even though it wasn’t quite what I was looking for in a chair, being a little more ornate than to my taste, I still thought it could work, especially painted an antiqued white.
Originally, I was just going to photograph Mr. Bojangles in the chair for this week’s blog, but as you can see he was giving me a little bit of an attitude, so I decided to photograph the somewhat more cooperative Paco, as well. (Paco is very easily bribed with treats, whereas Mr. Bojangles is not.) P52_Week 1_NEW_Cincinnati_San_Francisco_Pet_Photographer_Mr-Bojangles
To see what else is new, head over to Pavlina Sanborn Photography, serving Southwest Florida, and then head around the rest of this week’s extensive blog circle until you end up back here.
