It’s Week 5 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 and our theme for this week was “red.” It’s also an appropriate choice for today as it’s “Wear Red for Women Day” to raise awareness of the leading cause of death in women, heart disease. Red is one of my favorite colors and I have lots of things that would have worked for this week, unfortunately, I ran out of time due to a very busy schedule of client work (a good problem to have.) So, I’m instead going to share some of my favorite past images that feature red in them.

This image below from a rescue photoshoot a few years ago features a red chair that I have used quite a few times. I love how the red color works with the other colors in this image. Red always gives a nice pop to the image.  I like this image so much I’ve used it on my business cards.

Next up is one of my all-time favorite images of Mr. Bojangles. I’ve titled this one “Wonder Dog or Super Bo at the Hall of Justice.”

Next up is another favorite featuring Mr. Bojangles, as well as his Coco. This was from their engagement photoshoot.

The next image is one of my favorite rabbit images. Rupert was a good sport for this one.

Next is Alma the African Gray Parrot. It’s not every day you find one of these birds in rescue, so I was very lucky to get to photograph her.

Finally, we have an explosion of red with this cute client puppy, Xena.

I really love photographing red. Next up with more red and serving St. Cloud, St. Paul and Minneapolis MN, is About A Dog Photography. Afterwards, see more red with the other members of the blog circle before you make your way back here.
