It’s Week 21 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 and our theme for this week is dog breeds in our respective cities, so I’m going to talk about some pit bull rescue dogs in Cincinnati. Specifically, I’m talking about two pittie mix dogs that are still looking for their forever homes after I photographed them almost two years ago! Jace and Lexi are both pit bull mix rescue dogs available for adoption with Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue in Northern Kentucky.

Jace, a pit bull rescue in the Cincinnati area

Both Jace and Lexi were photographed in Ault Park in Cincinnati. A great place to take your active dogs out on the trails.

Jace is around eight years old and needs an active family who can wear him out. He does best in an environment where there are rules and he’s made to follow them. He is a very sweet boy who loves people. He does okay with low-key dogs, but a home without young children would be best for him as he can be very rambunctious and may knock the little ones down. He is both house and crate trained, neutered, up-to-date on all shots and preventatives, and is heartworm negative. He has been living in a foster home for the last couple of years but would love a permanent home of his own.

Lexi, a pit bull rescue in the Cincinnati area

Lexi is a sweet dog that has spent way too much of her life in rescue after she was found all alone on an abandoned property. She deserves a home of her very own. She is around nine years old, very sweet, and loves to play, but could definitely benefit from some obedience training. Because she can be quite exuberant, it is best that her future home not contain small children. She is spayed, house trained, heartworm negative, up-to-date on shots and her monthly preventatives.

Travis, a pit bull rescue in Cincinnati

Travis is another pit bull rescue available for adoption in Cincinnati with Save Our  Shelter Dogs Rescue. I photographed him last August at French Park in Cincinnati. He is just a couple of years old and is a very happy and sweet boy. He has a lot of energy and needs a very active household. If you love to go hiking or running, Travis is the dog for you. He loves to play with other dogs. He is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and current on preventatives.

So, if you are in Cincinnati and are looking for a pit bull rescue, look no further than Jace, Lexi, or Travis. To find out more about these dogs or to fill out an application to adopt, visit the Save Our Shelter Dogs website.

Up next in the blog circle is Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography, showcasing the most popular dog breeds in the Endless Mountains of PA. After you visit Elaine, head around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
