There are only a few more weeks left in this year, which is so hard to believe as it seems like we started off just yesterday! However, we are at Week 45 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 and our theme for this week is “seasonal.” I actually had some free time on a relatively nice day, so Mr. Bojangles and I headed to our favorite local park for a seasonal outing.

Mr. Bojangles posed on our favorite posing log, which is perfect for getting some of the seasonal colors in.

I probably have thousands of pictures of Mr. Bojangles in this same pose in this same spot, but I still never tire of it and it’s always different depending on the season and the time of day.

While photographing Mr. Bojangles, I heard some crashing through the woods and got lucky enough to see a deer head into the lake to take an evening drink.

I stood on the far end of the posing log to get closer to the deer, which was down the hill from where we were. I also wanted to be as quiet as possible so not to scare the deer off.

That’s one of the things I love about this park because even though it’s in the middle of several subdivisions, you still get the peace and quiet and wildlife. The deer were pretty active the evening we were at the park because we saw two more run through the woods, including a young buck.
