Oh, the horror! It’s the second week in a row where Mr. Bojangles doesn’t appear in my weekly professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle post. Will he ever recover from this slight? LOL! Anyway, it’s Week 25 of our project and our topic for the week is “soft.” We could use any interpretation of the word we wanted to represent in our images.

This week I had the opportunity to photograph the lovely Leah and her cat, Mookie. Mookie is a beautiful, long-haired black cat that Leah rescued. Since it was a lovely day outside we decided to do some outdoor images with Mookie. She will be one of the cats featured in my cat photography book to be published next year.
As soon as I saw the images from this session, I knew they were perfect for my blog with beautiful soft light. So, my interpretation of “soft” was with the light. Of course, I can also say that Mookie’s fur is very soft, so now I have two interpretations of soft in my image for this week.
